In a string of games that have seemingly all come down to the wire, the Sox lost another close game last night to the Isotopes 5-4 behind a two-run eighth inning home run by JD Closser.

The Sox had led 4-3 entering the inning thanks in large part to a Mike Jacobs two-run home run in the first inning.

The Sox return home tonight for a four-game set with the Fresno Grizzlies. Outfielder Cole Garner will be activated from the disabled list prior to the game.

Billy Buckner (0-1, 8.10) will take the bump for the Sox against Doug Mathis (0-1, 3.47)
