Sox Scribbles: Searching for Offense

The Sky Sox dropped their second consecutive game to the Las Vegas 51s 7-2 Tuesday night. The Sox have scored a total of two runs in the two games and could be starting to miss the production of current Rockies Charlie Blackmon, Eric Young Jr., Chris Nelson, and injured outfielder Cole Garner.

Willy Taveras has been doing his best to put the team on his back over the past week. In last night’s loss he went 4-for-5 and extended his hitting streak to 13 games.

Prior to last night’s game, Rockies outfielder Dexter Fowler started his rehab assignment with the Sox, going 0-for-4.

The Sox will look to take the final two games of their series with the 51s starting tonight as John Maine takes the hill looking for his second win of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 8:05 PM MT.
