With a myriad of player movement during the first half of the season, the one constant was first baseman Mike Jacobs. Jacobs is hitting .300 (125-for-416) while leading the team in home runs (22), doubles (29), hits (125), runs (68), RBI (95), total bases (222) and walks (56). He also leads the league in games played (112) and RBI. His 95 RBI this season is tied for the most in affiliated baseball this season with Kent Matthes of the Modesto Nuts, the Advanced-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies organization has the top three RBI producers in baseball this season as Modesto’s Nolan Arenado ranks third with 94 RBI. Adrian Gonzalez leads all Major League players with 91 RBI.
