The Sky Sox could not get home fast enough following the 7-2 loss to the Reno Aces Thursday night. The defeat sent Colorado Springs back home with an 0-8 record on the road trip and winless in the second stint of the season. The offense tallied 20 runs on 53 hits over the 8 contests, averaging 2.5 runs and 6.6 hits per tilt, not enough to get it done. Matt Buschmann limited the Sox to 2 runs over 8 1/3 innings and Mitch Haniger paced Reno with a 4-for-5 night at the plate. Michael Reed hit a solo shot to the opposite field and Garin Cecchini brought home a run in the ninth with a single. Aaron Wilkerson took the loss for the Sox.

Tonight the Sky Sox return to Security Service Field, a place where they have won 27 of 46 matchups, and look to end their 8 game losing streak in the first of four tonight against the Round Rock Express. They enter play seven games under .500 at 44-51 and still in second place, however now 10 games in back of the Oklahoma City Dodgers.
