Colorado Springs has brought the wood to this past homestand and that continued Thursday night against El Paso in the form of a 13-5 win. Drew Gagnon made the spot start and gave up the five runs early, but gave the Sox a good enough start, particularly with the way their offense delivered nine runs over the first two innings. Garrett Cooper tied the game 4-4 with a 3-run homer in the first inning, Domingo Santana came in with the second of his three hits, a 2-run double in the second, and Garin Cecchini put it out of reach with a two run homer in the second as well. Santana went on to reach base five times with three hits and two walks and drove in five, while Cooper gave the Sox four RBI. @DimTillard, pardon me, Tim Dillard got the win for the Sox in relief.
