Sox Scribbles: Reynolds Rocking

Sox starter Greg Reynolds enjoyed his best start of the season last night, pitching 7.0 scoreless innings while allowing seven hits and striking out seven as the Sox defeated the Salt Lake Bees 2-1. Reynolds is responsible for five of 13 wins by Sox starters this season, posting a 5-2 record with a 6.08 ERA. Without Reynolds,  Sox starters have posted a record of 8-28 this season.

Eliezer Alfonzo continued his torrid hitting going 1-for-2 with a solo home run for the Sox. For the season, Alfonzo is hitting .337 (30-for-89) with 12 home runs, 21 runs scored and 37 RBI in just 30 total appearances including 20 starts.
