Sox Scribbles: Not The Usual Suspects

In the sixth inning of last night’s 7-6 victory over Salt Lake, Eric Young Jr. and Dexter Fowler hit back-to back solo home runs to tie the game at 3-3. The home runs were the first of the year for both Young Jr. and Fowler with the Sky Sox. Four batters later, Jordan Pacheco hit a two-run home run, his first long ball since Opening Day on 4/7.

What made Pacheco’s blast even more impressive is that he completely broke his bat on impact, sending the barrel into the Bees dugout. Check out the video here.

Alan Johnson picked up the win in his first relief appearance of the season, moving him into sole possession of eighth place on the Sky Sox all-time wins list with 23 wins. He was previously tied with Chris Gissell with 22.
