The two teams split the doubleheader yesterday with the fireworks coming from Orlando Arcia and his four RBI, three-run walk-off homer game in game one. Game two went to the Sounds 8-1.

Pitching Matchup: LHP Brent Suter (0-1, 6.30) vs. RHP Zach Neal (1-1, 0.90 ERA)

Sky Sox Pitcher: LHP Brent Suter is the lone lefty starter for the Sox so far in 2016 and just one of two southpaws on the pitching staff (Mitch Lambson the other). The Harvard University graduate is 0-1 with a 6.30 ERA through the first two starts of his season. The lefty faced Nashville his last time out and logged 6 innings allowing 4 earned runs on 9 hits and 4 strikeouts. He last pitched last Thursday at First Tennessee Park thanks to all of the postponements.

Suter will make his home debut of 2016 tonight and third career start at Security Service Field. Last year the lefty went 1-1 with a start against Tacoma and Omaha at home in which he gave up 8 runs (7 earned) on 12 hits, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts.

Sounds Pitcher: RHP Zach Neal is set to pitch against the Sox for the first time in 2016, his first two came against the OKC Dodgers. Neal is 1-1 with a 0.90 ERA allowing 4 runs (1 earned),  on 10 hits and 6 strikeouts; he has hit one batter, but not yet issued a traditional walk. The South Carolina native was selected by the Marlins in the 17th round of the 2010 draft out of the University of Oklahoma, the same school where yesterday’s Sounds starter Dillon Overton attended. The Athletics signed Neal as a free agent in March of 2013.

Neal is 15-18 with a 4.01 ERA in 43 Triple-A games across three seasons. The righty pitched one time against the Sox last year and delivered 7-shutout innings at Security Service Field on July 23.  He’s 0-1 in his career against Colorado Springs.
