SOX STARTER NOTES: Carlos Torres has allowed only one earned run in his last 13 innings with the Sky Sox.  In eight starts with the Sox, has not allowed more than three runs in a game (one run or less in five starts).  Sky Sox won in Torres’ first four starts this season (1-3 in last four starts).

HERNAN ON BASE:  Sky Sox outfielder Hernan Iribarren collected three hits in the modified doubleheader yesterday, the most of any Colorado Springs player, and has totaled the second most hits on the team this season at 59 (Matt McBride leads the team with 62 hits) while leading the team in walks (23) and on-base percentage (.383).  Iribarren has reached base in 27 of his last 30 starts, and has the second best average (.312) of any Sky Sox player with double-digit starts.

WHEELER RIGHT AT HOME:  Sky Sox outfielder Tim Wheeler was the only player on the Sky Sox to get a hit in both games of yesterday’s modified doubleheader, and in his six games so far this season at Security Service Field he has collected a hit in all six games.  Wheeler is batting .333 (8-for-24) with two doubles and three runs scored at home this season, and has raised his average from .172 to .245 since the current homestand began.  Wheeler missed the Sky Sox first 19 home games due to a hand injury.
